I’m Ankita, a travel writer and a digital nut.
Slow and Solo Travel is my go to method of travelling and I owe much of who I am today to my early travel experiences.
One of my first jobs was at a travel website - World Travel Guide - which led me to start my own blog. I ran the blog - Living and Escaping - actively for 5 years before shifting my focus from blogging to travel writing for other publications.
The switch gave me the freedom to work on travel projects I'm genuinely interested in. No more writing for the sake of it. No more desperately waiting for inspiration to strike. Want to know what I'm working on "write" now? Click here.
I've written for publications globally and started with writing for multiple travel magazines and websites in the UK, Australia and India. I continue to enjoy this till today while I run a full time business. You can find out more about that very important aspect of my life here.
My travel writing focuses on solo travel, travelling with difficult passports, offbeat experiences, and adventures.
I love all things digital and when I’m not on my computer you’ll find me on the yoga mat or on the dance floor. I love mountains more than the ocean and to date, I’ve lived on 3 continents and in 7 different countries.
Previous publications include Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Travel, Luxury Travel Magazine, Royal Wings, World Travel Guide, Civilian Global, TNT Magazine, and more.
